Home Again

And we're back.  After a stop in TX and then AZ we were able to make it home to Nor Cal Sunday night.  We were sad to leave all the places we've been, but are definitely happy to be off the road....I think we need a break from cross country road trips for a bit.  And I'm not sure that I'm gonna miss road trip snacks...I think we've eaten enough candy (ok, maybe just me) to last a lifetime over the last week.  I never thought I'd say that I am "candy-ed out" haha (for those that know me well...I have a slight addiction).  Thanks to those of you who continued to lift us up in prayer while we traveled!  They were definitely felt.

We were happy we were able to make our stops in TX and AZ where we were able to stay and rest with family we don't get to see very often - so nice to have that time together.

With one of Kaleb's bro's and our sister in law in TX, such a great time!

Visiting in AZ.  Our nephew sure loves his Uncle Kaleb! :)
On a nice little sunset hike

Our nephew loved riding on his Dad's back in his fun pack.
He was so comfy he fell asleep! :)

SO...."what's next now for the Poth's?" you might ask.  Well, for right now we will be in Nor Cal working full time on raising up ministry partners - people who would like to partner with us in our ministry.  We will also be starting our next Bible class, New Testament Survey, through independent study (excited for that!).  I know some have also asked, "when do you move to Maine?"  We get to move to Maine once we are 100% fully funded.  So, that will be whenever the Lord has planned :).  We are praying that we are there by September, but who knows what God has in store.   We will be keeping everyone updated.

We are really looking forward to being a part of a ministry that is using the outdoors to connect with college students and share Christ.  If you'd like, take a look at this short article published by Worldwide Challenge (Campus Crusade's magazine).  It was published this past summer and is about the experience of one student involved with Lifelines at the University of Vermont campus.  It gives a good example of some of what Lifelines is about:

Also, don't forget to check out the Lifelines at U Maine website, they're pretty awesome....I mean, I might be a bit partial ;), but you should check them out and see what they do - what we'll be apart of:

Until next time....

On the road again

It's that time again....tomorrow bright and early we will start to make our journey back to Nor Cal.  Our car is loaded to the brim and ready to go!  If you think of us, can you please pray that we will have a safe journey home.  We will be dividing our trip up this time making some stops along the way but hope to be back in Nor Cal in about a week.

Our time here has been so motivating!  We've had the privilege to meet and get to know some amazing people, expand our knowledge through Bible courses, and be encouraged and inspired by some great speakers.  It's been intense and busy...but of course, completely worth it :).  God has used this time so much in each of our lives.

Tonight we had our commissioning banquet and we have officially been placed to work with the Lifelines Ministry, on the University of Maine campus, YAY!

Since we are hoping to hit the road around 5 a.m. tomorrow ....yes, I should be sleeping ;) ... I should probably go.  But we wanted to share a couple pictures with you all of just a few of those amazing people we were speaking of - the people in our "small group" ....

During our time here we were placed into small groups that we met with once a week.  After we all enjoyed dinner together, our husbands would meet together and us wives together.  I think the men really enjoyed their man time ;).  We were able to discuss classes with one another, pray together and just share life with each other during this time.  I was surprised at how close we all got in such a short period.  We had such a great time together!

With the ladies, love these women!

We are so looking forward to serving the Lord through Lifelines and are excited to be on this path He is taking us!
